I was visiting Columbia, SC and I was in the mood for some pork neck bones. I needed to locate an excellent country grocery store to purchase some pretty neck bones and I found it! The Elgin IGA! They had fresh cut meat of every variety and….. a pleasant surprise! One of the best cafeteria style restaurants I have ever seen with great country cooking! I purchased the meatloaf plate with green beans and sweet potato casserole! It was delicious! The staff in each department was courteous and most professional! It was a great shopping experience!
This store is well organized, very well lighted and makes "spur of the moment" shopping easy! :) A wide variety of products is available and the produce appears to fresh off-the truck. Dairy products: Kept very well chilled. Nothing better to go with supper than a glass of good, cold milk! The shelves are well organized with fresh products. Employee help has always been a plus, too.
