I remember this as Almacs, this is more typical of the upward mobility of the town over the years. Interesting to come back to my hometown and experience the changes.
I love the fresh produce, and meat here. Better prices, sales, and cleaner than Bristol Stop and Shop.
I shop at Shaw’s a couple Of Times per week. This past friday, after a long work day, I had a large order , about 10 bags of groceries . The bagger Steven, was exceptionally conscientious about his placement of items, and being sure I saw where fragile items were placed, and that I understood what he was saying. When I joked with the cashier about how Steven “knows me” and that I have had bad luck with grocery bags, he finished. He seemed to decide the last two bags were too heavy to pack on top of the others and insisted on carrying them to my car. Of course I had parked in “Goofy” and apologized the whole walk to my car. When we got to my car, he again insisted on carefully packing the rear of my suv, that had other stuff from work taking much of the space available. When I tried to assist - he insisted he do it. When he completed giving me this VIP treatment he shook my hand, refused cash, and marched with purpose back into the store. Thanks to Steven, I felt blessed to be the recipient of such thoughtfulness and genuine pride in one’s work. Thank you Steven for not only being a superstar in your Creator’s eyes, but for making me feel so blessed to have been touched by your selfless gestures. You went above and beyond, and I am truly grateful!
